Known for making blockbuster movies for the past years, film and TV director Andoy Ranay is back again in ABS-CBN network after doing series of Kapuso shows. There is nothing wrong with his decision to come back to his mother network. But this transfer brought up the issue again about his previous statement when he left Kapamilya network few years back.
To recap, Direk Andoy said, “Basta higher salary with much better, working conditions and atmosphere. Yun naman talaga mas importante. Ang tratuhin ka ng tama at hindi yung by the time you write your 12th draft, feeling mo, ang bobo bobo mo na at sila lang ang magaling!” Plus “they feed me” statement referring to GMA. He then preceded to do Legacy, Mundo Mo’y Akin, Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real, and More Than Words. And among the movies that hit big were Diary ng Panget: The Movie and Talk Back And You’re Dead. So, what happen now that he is back to ABS-CBN?
According to the report, Direk Andoy took part at the creative meeting of Dreamscape Productions and planning to direct the unit’s upcoming TV series. Speculations had it that he might be working again with James Reid and Nadine Lustre’s On the Wings of Love since he have been working with them for quite some time now.
Since there is an on-going issue about regional networks “shutting down” due to company lose, we can say that Direk Andoy did the right move. Who knows, JaDine may be, really, his lucky charm.
