“Prior to the show, I was instructed to make the show fun, light, and ease the tension, especially during the Q&A portion.” It was the statement ABS-CBN star Toni Gonzaga told the press yesterday during You’re My Boss grand press conference when she was asked about her Bb. Pilipinas hosting issue.
She received numerous of criticism over social media when she hosted the Bb. Pilipinas 2015 coronation night last Sunday. It started when former beauty queen Nina Ricci Alagao posted in Facebook what like to be “appalling” in Toni’s manner of hosting on Sunday. It was never her intention to criticize the Pinoy Big Brother host but she just stated facts about how the host interacted with the contestants and the judges in Q & A portion.
And during the press conference of the upcoming movie of Star Cinema You’re My Boss on Tuesday, Toni took the opportunity to explain her side of the issue. “Syempre po, doon muna sa mga hindi natuwa dahil hindi naibigan ang napanood nila noong Sunday, I’m humbly asking if I have offended or I have maligned or I have hurt any one of you.”
She also states that, “But it was never my intention because prior to the show, I was instructed to make the show fun, light, and ease the tension—especially during the Q & A portion. So it was never my intention. Again, it was instructed for me to host that way, to make it lively and fun. This will be the first and the last time I will talk about this kasi noong Sunday pa po ito.” – \^^^/
