After her grand wedding, the Kapuso primetime queen, Marian Rivera-Dantes is set to play a challenging role this coming May entitled “The Rich Man’s Daughter”. This will be all about love, sex and relationships and woman-loving-woman kind of series. The story will delve into the world of lesbianism. Definitely a big comeback to the primetime queen, many have been asking why Marian Rivera accepted the role.
Martian will be playing the character of Jade Tanchingco, an heiress from a very wealthy Filipino-Chinese family whose business are circulating around retail, airlines and real estates. As the youngest and only daughter of family Tanchingco, Jade’s dad, who is willing to pay millions, is looking for a suitor that will make his daughter fall in love with. Unbeknownst that her only daughter actually like someone else. And the revelation of who that might be will shock the Tanchingco clan.
It is indeed the most challenging roles for Marian so far. She admitted that she will have a hard time portraying the character. Did she consult her husband? Marian answers, “Siyempre, ngayong kapag magdedesisyon na ako, hindi na pwedeng ako na lang at manager ko. Kahit papaano sasabihin ko sa asawa ko na may ganito akong project. Siyempre, nag-uusap kami bilang respeto sa isa’t isa. Kasi, medyo kinabahan akong gawin siya. Bago kasi siya sa akin, hindi ko alam kung anong approach ang gagawin ko. Pero sabi naman niya, take it as a challenge.”
She will be joined by Glaiza De Castro, Luis Alandy, Katrina Halili, Al Tantay, Glydel Mercado, Tony Mabesa, Paolo Contis, Pauleen Luna, TJ Trinidad, Mike Tan, Sheena Halili and Charee Pineda. Casts were questioned as well in the media noticed that it is lacking major support. Only Gloria Romero is the major senior star.
