Award-winning actors Julia Montes and Coco Martin will team up once again in ABS-CBN’s drama-fantasy series “Wansapanatym” via its special summer series “Yamashita Treasure.” Coco will play the character Yami, a treasure hunter. On the other hand, Julia will pay Tanya, a fairy. Contrary to what they were portraying before, this time we will see the lighter side of the Coco-Jul tandem as they do comedy romance and action. Wansapanatym Presents: Yamishita Treasure is part of the magical summer campaign of Dreamscape Entertainment Television.
During the grand presscon of the series, Coco revealed that Julia was one of the reason why he accepted the project. He said he misses working with Julia since their last project together was long overdue already. The pair was last seen on “Ikaw Lamang.” That brought the press in asking the status of the two. Is there something romantic going on between them? Why the Philippine Televesion Teleserye Sweetheart said, Coco is actually the reason why she is not entertaining suitors?
Julia answered (interviewed by Push.com), “Medyo. Hindi naman pigil. May mga advice lang siya and tama lang naman kasi parang rini-remind niya ako na binigyan ako ng opportunity and hindi lahat ng kabataan nabibigyan ng opportunity na ganito. Focus muna sa work. Siya rin naman nag-advise. Siguro ngayon andun lang ako sa point na siyempre family pa rin talaga. Ako kasi ‘pag nagbigay ako ng time and effort, all out so gusto ko pag aabot na sa ganung point na magkakaroon ng relationship or anything, alam ko dapat sa sarili ko na settled na yung family ko.”
Meanwhile, when the Prince of the Philippine Independent Film was asked if he will encourage Julia to the next level, Coco said he wants Julia to enjoy her singlehood since their age gap is quite big too. Coco is 33 and Julia will turn 20 on March 19. He was all smiles anyway when he found out that Julia is actually taking his advice about entertaining suitors.
Wansapanatym Presents: Yamishita Treasure will start to air on March 22 (Sunday). Joining Coco-Jul are Eddie Garcia, Nonie Buencamino, Angel Aquino, Al Tantay, Bing Loyzaga, Ryan Bang and Alonzo Muhlach. It will set to run around 13 weeks. \^^^/
