Rachelle Ann Go will no longer play the role of Gigi Van Tranh in Miss Saigon after her contract expires on May 9. She clarified that she was already decided to not extend her contract anymore. This was what she told the reporters at the Cinderella press conference on March 11 at the Crowne Plaza Manila. So, that would be her last performance, on May 9 and after that she doesn’t know yet what will happen after.
The West End actress returned to the Philippines on Monday for the press interview about her rendition of Disney’s Cinderella official music video, A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes. She was picked up at the airport by her closest showbiz friends including Sarah Geronimo, who helped to surprise her family about her return from London.
During the press conference, Rachelle Ann states that she wants to try new roles like wicked or Les Miserables. “I actually told the company that I wanna try other roles. So, naging open naman ako. Sabi ko, gusto ko ng Wicked and Les Misérables also. Hindi ko pa alam. I still don’t know what’s gonna happen,” she shared. So definitely this will not be the end of her plans in pursuing career in London.
