“That Thing Called Tadhana” continues to enjoy commercial success, with earnings already reaching P100 million in less than two weeks since it first hit theaters. The romantic-comedy by Antoinette Jadaone, which won the Audience Choice Award and Best Actress for Angelica Panganiban at last year’s Cinema One Originals Film Festival, was picked up by ABS-CBN film outfit Star Cinema, which distributed the movie nationwide.
Panganiban can’thelp but share the good news on her Instagram account (@iamangelicap) yesterday, Feb. 15. “Salamat. Wala na kami masabi… Salamat,” went her caption. “Napaka sayang adventure ng movie na to. Salamat sa matatalino at malalim. At mababaw. At maarte at kumapit na lang sa movie na to. Para maka move on. Or. Simpleng naka relate lang. Salamat po.”
Her leading man JM de Guzman is also grateful for the film’s latest achievement, re-posting Angelica’s photo on his Instagram account (@1migueldeguzman). “salamat sa lahat ng sumoporta, nanood ng that thing called tadhana,” he said. “showing padin, @iamangelicap @basconetti @tonet_jadaone.”
“That Thing Called Tadhana” focuses on two strangers, Mace (Angelica) and Anthony (JM), who forge a unique bond after a chance encounter at the airport, learning a thing or two from each other about love and relationships as they embark on a spontaneous trip.
