Accidentally discovered by Warner Music Singapore, where his friend sent an audio clip – where he played a supporting role of guitar and duet partner. Sets him apart from the others is his vocal quality and song writing skills reflect a unique soul.
Warner Music Philippines arranged a mini press con for this promising singer-songwriter yesterday at Commune Artisan Cafe in Makati City. When he was asked why he chose Reuby for a screen name, he said “It is simple, youthful and easy to remember.” As per James Kang, A&R Director of Warner Music Singapore, “Reuby has a unique tone to his voice that sets him apart from other local artists I’ve heard in the past years.” With a great influence by his pianist mother, the 18-year old chinito adept both the piano and guitar, the latter of which was self-taught.
