The awards night of Paragala: Central Luzon Media Awards has come forth to the limelight to once again give recognition to the Central Luzon’s choices of the best organizations, personalities, and programs on both local and national television.
After the successful launch of Paragala last year, the Communicators’ League, the official organization of Communication Arts students of Holy Angel University and the organizer of the event, continue the legacy of this award-giving body in bridging major breakthrough in the field of broadcast media.
February 21, 2015, four o’clock in the afternoon marked as the peak hour of the second Paragala Awards. One by one, all the invited guests came. The Holy Angel University Theater was filled with regal souls who are about to witness the brightest night in the region.
The night glimmer the most when the recipients of the awards from different television networks arrived in the occasion. Mike Enriquez has once again hailed as the Central Luzon’s Choice for Best News Program Male Anchor and he personally accepts his trophy. However, the trophy for this year’s Central Luzon’s Choice for Best Morning Show was given to Umagang Kay Ganda and handed to Amy Perez herself.
The crowd went wild as Coco Martin arrived in the venue and received his trophy as the Central Luzon’s Choice for Best Television Actor.
It seems an angel has descended from heaven as Angel Locsin beamed to everyone and accepted her Central Luzon’s Choice for Best Television Actress award.
On the other hand, Eugene Domingo took the spotlight as she comically delivers her acceptance speech in the stage for being the Central Luzon’s Choice for Best Game Show Host. Domingo also mentioned that she was impressed with the Holy Angel University campus.
Other media personalities who weren’t able to make it on the awards night, like Vice Ganda, Jessica Soho, Kara David, Howie Severino, Kim Atienza, and the cast of A.S.A.P., have sent taped thank you speeches.

Paragala Awards is now dubbed as one of the biggest and fastest growing university-based award-giving body in the Philippines, considering the fact that it is only its second year, it had already created resounding feedbacks from major television networks and commendable notions from various universities in Central Luzon.
A significant increase in the total number of voting population for the second Paragala Awards has been mandated by the organization. The Communicators’ League partnered to 23 colleges and universities around Central Luzon and has been able to solicit more than 30, 000 votes. The voters, comprised of students, teachers, and non-teaching personnel, emanated from Asia Pacific College of Advance Studies, Baliuag University, Bataan Peninsula State University, Bulacan State University, Central Luzon State University, City College of Angeles, College of Immaculate Conception, Columban College, Core Gateway College, Don Bosco Technical Institute – Tarlac, Don Honario Ventura Technilogical State University, Gordon College, Holy Angel University, Jocson College, Lyceum of Subic Bay, Mabalacat City College, Pampanga State Agricultural University, St. Nicolas College of Business and Technology, Tarlac College of Agriculture, Tarlac State University, Tomas Del Rosario College, University of the Assumption, and Wesleyan University – Philippines.
Because of the highly praised awarding ceremony, Paragala Awards is now considered as the most sought-after award-giving body outside Metro Manila, branding it to be the voice of the students and academic institutions in Central Luzon for their choice of the most outstanding organizations, personalities, and programs in Philippine television.
