It’s official! Catherine Gonzaga, popularly known as Alex Gonzaga signed a contract under Star Cinema that her best-selling book “Dear Alex, Break Na Kami, Paano?! Love, Catherine” will be on the big screen soon. The host-actress inked the contract on Thursday, Feb 5.
The success of her book is very obvious since it is already on its 7th printing. A lot of young girls can relate to this book because it helps them overcome heartbreaks and teaches on how to properly deal with breakups.
“Kasi gusto ko lang naman tumulong gamit ang libro ko, tumulong lang, magkaroon ng pagbabago… pagbabago ng kahit na sino. Bagong perspective lang sa pagmamahal, yun lang. Maging ano yung mga mistakes ko, maging lesson sa iba so hindi na siya mistakes kasi may natulungan ako so naging blessing siya ganun,” Alex said in an interview with Push.com.
Surely this will be another blockbuster movie because it will be written by no other than Antoinette Jadone and will be under the direction of Dan Villegas. We all know that Jadone is the person behind the success of “Relaks, It’s Just Pag-ibig, Beauty in a Bottle and That Thing called Tadhana.”
No definite assurance yet if Alex will be part of the main cast, but when she was asked who she should want to portray the characters, her personal selection are Luis Manzano, Piolo Pascual and John Lloyd Cruz. Her sister Toni Gonzaga will be considered as well for Alex want to return something for her since she will be part of Toni’s wedding.
