The hype is really over for the newly-wed Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera!
GMA Network after almost three weeks, finally aired the so-called ‘The Royal Wedding’ of Kapuso royalties, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes. It was aired during the hype of the recent visit in Manila of Pope Francis, the first Papal visit in 20 years.
Lest not compare ‘The Royal Wedding’ to the Papal visit coverage, just compare it to the closest competitor, which is “The Voice of the Philippines Season 2.”
Based on the very rare ratings released, “The Voice of the Philippines Season 2” recorded TV ratings of 20.3% (Mega Manila), 21.5% (Metro Manila) and 18.4% (Sub-urbs) while “DongYan wedding Part 1” only got 15.3% (Mega Manila), 18% (Metro Manila) and 11.6% (Sub-urbs).
Obviously, when it comes to commercial loads, “The Voice of the Philippines Season 2” is a sure winner.
