ABS-CBN’s newest daytime drama series “Oh My G” starring Kapamilya teen star Janella Salvador quickly got the viewers hooked as it debuted as the most watched daytime TV program in the country.
According to data from Kantar Media last Monday (January 19), the premiere of Janella’s teleserye scored a national TV rating of 15.5%, or double that of its rival program in GMA “The Ryzza Mae Show” (7.7%).
Aside from ratings, the pilot of “Oh My G” also ruled social networking sites such as Twitter where the hashtag #OhMyGTheBeginning became a nationwide trending topic because of the netizens’ excitement over the beginning of Sophie’s (Janella’s) journey.
Meanwhile, TV viewers will surely be more thrilled in the next episodes of “Oh My G” as Sophie develops a better relationship with her father Paul (Eric Quizon). How will Sophie’s life change when she loses the only family she has left?
Under the direction of Roni Velasco and Paco Sta. Maria, “Oh My G” features the story of a teenager named Sophie whose perfect life is about to turn around because of the death of her parents.
