This coming season of love, Pinoy fans of American band Boyce Avenue have the chance to experience a night of melodic rock and acoustic music as they are set to conquer the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on February 14.
Already their fourth time to serenade the Philippines, the worldwide singing sensation will be back in their first concert in the arena dubbed as “Boyce Avenue Live in Manila 2015!”.
Looking for reasons why you should see this band? If their amazing cover songs on Youtube aren’t enough to make you grab that ticket (although we highly doubt that), here are some interesting facts about the band.
1. The band actually consists of three Puerto Rican brothers: Alejandro (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Fabian (guitar vocals), and Daniel (bass, percussion, vocals) Manzano. Unlike other artists, the trio took advantage of the internet to spread their music.
2. They’re a talented and brainy bunch. Older brother Daniel is actually a graduate of Harvard Law School, while Fabian, who took up Architecture, is also the man behind the clothing line These Quiet Sounds (TQS) Design.
3. With over 6 million subscribers and over 1 billion views on its Youtube channel, Boyce Avenue is undoubtedly the most viewed independent band in the world.
4. In the Philippines, they are the most streamed international artist.
5. One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson is a self-confessed fan of Boyce Avenue. In fact, the band opened for One Direction’s “Up All Night Tour” in Ireland and Great Britain in January of 2012.
6. They first came together as a band in 2004 after the three brothers finished pursuing higher education.
7. Its most viewed video on Youtube is a cover of Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors” with over 64 million views. The band collaborated with Fifth Harmony on this track.

9. The band’s name is a combination of two streets where the boys lived while growing up.
