Everyone knew that Robin Padilla had already converted to a Muslim which allows him to wed up to 4 women. Mariel Rodriguez is very aware of it even before they got married.
During the presscon of Robin’s movie BONIFACIO: ANG UNANG PANGULO last December 16, he was asked if he has any plans of marrying his 2nd wife anytime sooner and would it be Vina Morales, ex-girlfriend and leading lady to the movie.
“Lagi kong sinasabi, handa na si Mariel sa mga ganyang bagay, alam niya kung ano ang pinasok niya bago pa kami magpakasal. Ang tanong diyan, kung papayag ba si Vina, siya lang ang pwedeng sumagot niyan,” answers Robin.
They were teased more by the press when Vina answered, “Naku, hindi ko alam ang isasagot ko. Ikaw, akala ko nagbago ka na? Ituluy-tuloy mo na yan. Ha-hahaha!”
Vina thinks that it is not going to work out having two wives. When assured that it’s not going to be (because of Muslim tradition), she added “Magiging magulo ‘yun! Du’n magsisimula ang gulo! Ha-hahaha!”
The first wife Mariel Rodriguez on the other hand was just in the dressing room and was advised by Robin not to come out. She was also requested to give the moment to Bonifacio and Oriang ( Robin and Vina’s role).
