ABS-CBN hit legal drama anthology “Ipaglaban Mo” tackles concubinage this Saturday (Dec 13) with the story of Pablo (Joem Bascon), a man who left his wife to be with his former live-in partner.
Pablo had been with Rosa (Isabel Oli) for three years before he met his wife Nila (Denise Laurel). Despite Pablo’s irresponsible and dependent behavior, Rosa remained a submissive and loving partner to him. But Pablo seemed discontent with their relationship until he met Nila, a beautiful and smart woman who came from a wealthy family.
Unlike other girls, Nila was not easy to please, so courting him was a challenge for Pablo. Thinking that he would have a more comfortable life with Nila, Pablo immediately proposed a marriage to her and broke up with Rosa.
However, Pablo and Nila’s married life did not turn out well. After a month, Pablo decided to reconcile with Rosa. Rosa forgave and accepted him again not knowing that the man he loved was already married to another woman. Nila sued them for concubinage upon learning his husband’s infidelity. How did the court decide on the case?
