The Voice Kids top four finalists Lyca Gairanod, Darren Espanto, Juan Karlos Labajo, and Darlene Vibares have indeed fulfilled their dreams: they recently won in the most prestigious competition for kids, they’ve become regular performers of “ASAP 19,” and they’ve recently released their debut compilation album.
But few know that they’ve suffered from bullying. This Saturday (November 29) in “The Bottomline with Boy Abunda” they will recall how they struggled emotionally to deal with bullies.
Darlene, known for her energetic and powerful performance, reveals how she had difficulties expressing herself and how her near-death experience changed her outlook in life.
Lyca, whose humble background and masterful rendition of Aegis’s “Basang Basa Sa Ulan” captured the hearts of viewers, tells us how she was picked on at school because of her social status.
Meanwhile, Darren, born in Canada, and the 13- year old Cebuano Charmer Juan Karlos reveal how they overcame “racism” issues.
Watch The Voice Kids as they triumphantly share stories of small beginnings, big dreams, and their sweet victories.
