Jennica Garcia (Ana) plays a woman who fought for her right as the heir of her deceased priest father in “Ipaglaban Mo” this Saturday (Nov 22).
Ana had been longing for the love of her parents. She was raised by her mother Lita (Mylene Dizon), who seemed unconcerned for her. She had no idea about the identity of her father until she turned 21 and found out that her dad was a priest named Fr. Romy (John Medina).
Before Fr. Romy passed away, he recognized Ana as her daughter and even declared her as the only heir of his property through his last will and testament. Fr. Romy’s relatives, however, claimed his property, insisting that Ana was an illegitimate daughter so she had no rights to it.
Ana pursued a legal battle, which her mother refused to support because of the fear of being criticized for having an affair with a priest. But for Ana, the inherited property was proof that her father recognized and valued her before he died. Did the court take her side? Did Ana get her mother’s support at the end?
Also joining the cast in this week’s episode titled “Pagkilala ng Ama,” directed by Raymund Ocampo, are Lui Villaruz, Fifth Solomon, Mike Lloren, Apollo Abraham, and Chiqui Del Carmen.
