The showdown continues as our top 6 clashers battle it out in the kitchen armed with their pastry tools and baking skills in Lifestyle Network’s “The Clash.”
This week, two entrepreneurs, a self-taught baker, and a pastry cook will be put to the test.
Born to Venezuelan parents, but raised in Canada, Cyn Villegas’ obsession with sweets as a kid has led her to live the sweet life we all aspire for. Right now, she deals with planning and making elegant wedding cakes for her clients as the chief cake designer and owner of Cynfully.
A dessert maker and business woman rolled into one, it is inspiring to know that Cyn can still squeeze in her busy schedule her hobbies such as sculpting and painting. With a diverse set of skills, Cyn has an edge in creating tempting desserts in the competition.
Another contestant to watch out for is Carmela Villegas who has been educated in the art of patisserie in France.
Studying and living in Europe is on everyone’s bucket list and Carmela is one lucky girl who has fulfilled this. In France, Carmela also had the chance to intern in a French patisserie where her baking skills were sharpened and her creativity honed.
Today, Carmela is a budding entrepreneur as the owner of Casa San Luis Pastries. Proving that anything can happen when you make time to chase your dreams, Carmela moved her wedding preparations in France for “The Clash.”
Wado Siman is your Baker Boy Next Door. Before finding solace in making desserts, Wado used to be an editor for television who suffered burnout. He quit his job and tried his hand in baking cakes and cupcakes. Although he lacked formal training, Wado had a natural flair for whipping up desserts.
When the number of orders kept growing, Wado knew he finally found his niche. Today, he works as an Account Executive for a food gadget hardware store. Determined to prove that through dedication anyone can master the art of dessert making, Wado joined Lifestyle Network’s “The Clash” and has been lucky to be picked as one of the finalists.
Pastry cook Jessica Relos is a self-proclaimed foodie. This gutsy girl who had the opportunity to work in a prominent hotel in Vancouver has plenty of talents. Jessica also loves to play the guitar and to dance. She also thinks excellent deserts need some key ingredients: precision, creativity, and lots of patience.
