Today’s hottest teen stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are currently being rumored to star in the possible remake of “Pangako Sa ‘Yo.” “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” which was aired in 2000 centers on the story of Yna (Kristine Hermosa) and Angelo (Jericho Rosales) who fell in love with each other. However, their relationship rumbled over their discovery that they might be half-siblings. But the two relieved after they found out that they have no blood relation. The series also introduces the most talked about rivalry between businesswoman Amor Powers (Eula Valdez) and hacienda matriarch Claudia Buenavista (Jean Garcia).
Directed by Olivia Lamasan, “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” gained success in local and international arena. It was shown in Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, China, and even in Kenya, Ghana, Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, Uganda, Cameroon, Tanzania, among others.
It also became a hit in Malaysia, as it original cast were offered to do a local adoption of the series.
