President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III’s administration, however, has nothing to worry about because Binay says he is willing to run under a coalition. Binay was the national chairman of the Partido ng Demokratikong Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP–Laban) before he left the opposition coalition, while President Aquino is the current titular head of the Liberal Party.
“There is a big possibility of their group and our group forming a single coalition. In politics, everything is possible,” he reveals in his interview in “Tapatan Ni Tunying” airing this Thursday (July 24).
“That would greatly reduce the personal attacks hurled by both parties,” he added.
However, Binay’s high survey ranking has its consequences as politicians who aspire for the presidency, he claims, are always subject to criticisms. He is ready to face the issues thrown at him, he adds.
Asked if he believes that the Liberal Party could be behind the alleged black propaganda against him, Binay answers, “Probably.”
Despite belonging to two opposing sides, Binay says he will forever be indebted to the family of President Aquino.
“We have known each other since we were young. I owe everything I am to his family. So we are able to maintain our good partnership and friendship, and it will never be ruined because of politics,” he shares.
