Former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Bodie Cruz, son of veteran actor Tirso Cruz III, was named the third millionaire and the biggest winner in the current season of “The Singing Bee.”
In the episode this Tuesday (July 1), Bodie proved his knowledge in song lyrics after beating Karla Henry, Desiree del Valle, and Smokey Manaloto in the weekly battle, where daily winners face off for the P1 million jackpot. Bodie took home P1.04 million, the biggest prize given by the musical game show to date. Sheryl Cruz and KZ Tandingan, meanwhile, both won P1 million last December and January, respectively.
This week, singers Alex Castro, Bryan Termulo, Emmanuelle Vera, and Liezel Garcia will also try their luck in singing their way to the jackpot on Wednesday (July 2), while former reality shows contestants Gail Nicolas, Jose Sarasola, Niña Jose, and Regine Angeles will clash on Thursday (July 3).
Stars from ‘80s variety show “That’s Entertainment” Ana Abiera, Chuckie Dreyfuss, Nadia Montenegro, and Sharmaine Arnaiz, meanwhile, will be reunited in “The Singing Bee” on Friday (July 4).
