It looks like ABS-CBN will be doing the remake of a Colombian telenovela “Pasión de Amor” which will be topbilled by Angelica Panganiban. “Passion de Amor” (Pasión de Gavilanes) is based on the 1994 telenovela “Las aguas mansas,” also written by Jiménez and produced by RTI, broadcast on Canal Uno.
“Pasión de Amor” is the story of the Reyes brothers, three honest and good-natured men until the day a shocking and unforgettable tragedy makes them go in search of revenge. Their plan takes an unexpected turn when they meet the Elizondo sisters, the three beautiful daughters of the powerful hacendado who they blame for their misfortune.
Other than Angelica, other rumored cast included in the series are Cristine Reyes, JC de Vera and Ejay Falcon under the unit of Direk Ruel Bayani. “Pasión de Amor” is still under planning stage so there will surely be more changes before it stars.
