Based on data from Nielsen Media, Confessions Of A Torpe gained its highest rating last week and the network is positive that this will continue up to its finale on Friday. The sudden spike in ratings can be attributed to the show’s engaging plot as viewers relate to its lead character Tupe (Ogie Alcasid), a 40-year-old bachelor who always had problems in winning the tough game of love and romance.
At the same time, much buzz is created online for the show as netizens take sides on who should end up with Tupe: Monique (Alice Dixson), his dream girl who finally fell for him, or Luz (Gelli De Belen), his best friend and forever confidant who always had feelings for him.
Using the hashtags #TeamMonique and #TeamLuz, fans have been placing their bets and sharing their thoughts on how they think the series would end best.
