Marlo, who admits to be his family’s breadwinner at the age of 21, reveals how the entertainment industry has been helping them financially.
“My mom was diagnosed with cancer just last month. I am thankful with my job because I am able to provide for our needs now. We come from a simple family and we are not rich,” he shares in “Tapatan Ni Tunying” airing this Thursday (June 5).
Janella, on the other hand, is also grateful with their team-up as she enjoys the opportunity to prove her talents beyond the shadow of her mother, singer Jenine Desiderio.
When asked if she would like follow her mother’s footsteps, she said, “Yes, I want too. But right now, since I started in acting, I would like to prioritize it more.”
Meanwhile, another hit loveteam of today, Nash Aguas and Alexa Ilacad, or NLex, already feel, at a very young age, the heavy responsibility of serving as good role models for the youth.
“We have to be careful with our actions because there are also children aged eight or seven years old who watch and admire us. They are still innocent so we have to serve as good examples for them because they will imitate us,” Nash says.
“We go to school, and at the same time, we are making other people happy with our career. I think that is the one they should admire in us — how we manage our time for studies, family, friendship towards other people, and career,” Alexa adds.
