Broadcast journalist Karen Davila tells viewers how a housewife who can’t read nor write overcame an almost insurmountable challenge to establish the famous and successful “Lipa City Panciteria” in Batangas tomorrow (June 25) in “My Puhunan.”
Natalia To grew up in a poor household and only finished Grade 2. When she was 20 years old, she was forced to marry a Chinese immigrant in Batangas who was 20 years her senior.
In 1968, Natalia carefully studied and replicated the authentic lomi her husband prepared. She then went into the food business and she has since become known for Batangas’ original lomi recipe.
