Base on data from Kantar Media last Thursday (May 1), “Ikaw Lamang’s” episode, where Gonzalo (John Estrada) stopped the supposed wedding of Coco Martin and Kim Chiu’s characters Samuel and Isabelle, got a national TV rating of 29.7%. It scored almost 14 points higher than its rival program in GMA “Carmela” which only got 16.1%.
Because of the intensifying scenes in ‘The Wedding’ episode, netizens also flooded the popular microblogging site Twitter with emotional tweets, and made the hashtag #IkawLamangTilDeathDoUsPart and the names of the characters Samuel, Isabelle, Franco (Jake Cuenca), and Gonzalo (John Estrada) nationwide trending topics.
Meanwhile, TV viewers will surely be more hooked in “Ikaw Lamang” now that Isabelle has been forced by her father to marry Franco instead.
