These are the ecotourism areas of Palawan, Sibuyan Island in Romblon and areas in Bicol. Ironically, the impoverished communities are situated in the picturesque sceneries in the Philippines.
Upon surveying the economic and tourism possibilities, Bantay Kalikasan has developed ecotourism destinations in the areas of Palawan, Sibuyan Island in Romblon and areas in Bicol. Tourists and travelers are sure to enjoy travel packages, activities and accommodation that are guaranteed to be safe, comfortable and yet, can bring the explorer in them.
The combined funds from G Stuff and Green Initiative’s summer destinations will be utilized to further cultivate more ecotourism sites and to organize trainings on manufacture and production for communities.
Lopez only had one goal in putting up the store – that is to help the communities improve their living conditions while preserving the environment.
“When I was a child, I remember distinctly my mother telling me, ‘Your Lolo spends money. He gives it away. He believes the value of money is in its use.’ That statement made an impact to my pre-adolescent mind. Half a century later I can still remember it,” she enthused.
