This Wednesday (May 14) in “My Puhunan,” broadcast journalist Karen Davila reveals the story and inspiration behind Jennifer’s “Lee Luxe,” an online shop that sells original luxury bags, “Lee Couture Shop,” a boutique with imported clothes and accessories, and “Moonshine,” a fine dining restaurant.
In the episode, Karen also details how Joy Torres started the popular Detoxify Bar, which sells different varieties of all-organic and nutritious fruit and vegetable detox juices.
Joy first turned to making vegetable smoothies as a way to get her son with a congenital heart disease eat vegetables. When her vegetable concoctions became a hit among her son’s classmates, Joy saw it as an opportunity to launch Detoxify Bar using her and her husband’s 15 years’ worth of savings. Now, the bar brings in over P100,000 from detox juices a day.
Doris Bigornia, meanwhile, follows the inspiring story of Anakk Digos, a football team from Davao del Sur in “Mutya ng Masa” tomorrow (Mayo 13). The team, composed of former street gang members, has won several medals in different regional competitions.
