Kapuso actor Elmo Magalona will be doing a movie for Cinemalaya this year titled “#Y” under the direction of Gino M. Santos which will compete on the New Breed Full Length Feature category. Elmo will have Kapatid actress Sophie Albert as his love interest in this movie.
Gino M. Santos is a director and writer, known for “The Animals” (2012), “Every Other Time” (2011), “Labing Dalawa” (2011) and “Island Dreams” (2013).
A project of the Cinemalaya Foundation and Cultural Center of the Philippines, Cinemalaya is an all-digital film festival and competition that aims to discover, encourage and honor cinematic works of Filipino filmmakers. Films in the New Breed Category, the festival’s main competition category, are for for first time filmmakers who have note made any commercialy released films.
