Filipino-American Fighter Mark Munoz meets Gegard Moussasi in Germany’s Octagon as the two middleweight standouts will make their case to move up the rankings in a five-round bout. Ranked No. 7 in the world at 185 pounds, Munoz has won five of his past seven bouts, including wins against Demian Maia, Chris Leben and Tim Boetsch and will be looking to avoid the first losing streak in his fighting career. Moussasi, meanwhile will fight in only his fourth match in the UFC and will try to earn his first victory in the middleweight division.
Meanwhile in Brazil, powerhouse Fabio Maldonado returns home to compete in his first heavyweight matchup in the UFC. He will put his three-fight winning streak on the line as a replacement fighter for injured Junior dos Santos against American contender Stipe Miocic in a heavyweight showdown that is expected to be a stand-up slugfest to remember. Plus, the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil comes to a close, as winners in the heavyweight and middleweight divisions are crowned.
