Coffee House Productions and Springboard Film Productions’s “Basement” is a Pinoy horror movie which will premiere on February 12, two days before Valentine’s Day. This horror movie is about some bizarre killings happening at the basement of a car parking area. It seems that a ‘manananggal’ based on the trailer is lurking under the cover of darkness waiting for her next prey at the very gloomy basement.
Set in the year 2010, a group of people find themselves trapped in a basement parking lot. At the onset, some are irritated while some don’t even give a damn knowing they can easily go out the next day. But when the power shuts off and as it gets close to midnight, strange things start to happen. They soon discover that something evil lurks in the darkness as, mysteriously, their numbers dwindle and one by one people begin to disappear. Who will be able to survive the night?
“Basement” stars GMA Artist Center’s artists Aljur Abrenica, Chynna Ortaleza, Louise Delos Reyes, Kristoffer Martin, Enzo Pineda, Dion Ignacio, Kevin Santos, Jan Manual, Ron Padilla, Teejay Marquez, Mona Louise Rey together with Alvin Aragon, Carl Acosta, and Dex Quindoza. Completing the cast are Betong Sumaya, Ellen Adarna, and Pilita Corrales.
Directed by Topel Lee, “Basement” will definitely give viewers a different level of thrill, fear and excitement. Get ready to hold the hand of your date and brace yourself for their embrace as thrills and screams await those who dare watch “Basement.”
