What was supposed to be the Metro Society Ball was turned into a fashion show for Yolanda Relief. Metro Society, in cooperation with LG Electronics Philippines, celebrated its 10th anniversary in the form of a charity and thanksgiving event at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort and Casino on the 1st of December 2013.
LG Electronics paid tribute to Metro Society’s ten radiant women that have shined and shown distinction in their field in the past decade. This award is derived from the global technology leader’s most premium and advanced innovation to date—the world’s first LG Curved OLED TV. Launched in the Philippines this month, the LG Curved OLED TV represents the infinite beauty and substance that these women possess. The LG Curved OLED TV breaks the limits of tradition with its seamlessly curved screen for an optimal TV viewing experience. A never-before-seen three-credit-card-slim TV blends perfectly with LG’s unique WRGB technology which produces deeper and richer colors.
Dedicated to the victims of super typhoon Yolanda, the event focused on the timeless beauty found in this generation and society. The event was graced by beautiful guests, fashion designers, and muses who were eager to help strengthen the cause. During the event, LG Electronics also pledged to fully support the victims of recent calamity Yolanda.
On top of their previous cash donations and installations of electricity-generating LG Solar Panels, LG announced their in-kind donations worth P400,000 to beneficiary organization Sagip Kapamilya. They will also continue their LG Service Camps to aid community rehabilitation.
Designers featured were Albert Andrada, Avel Bacudio, JC Buendia, Jun Escario, Rajo Laurel, Francis Libiran, Randy Ortiz, Philip Rodriguez, Joey Samson and Cary Santiago. Some of the muses that modelled were Ernie Lopez, Camille Mathay, Kim Jones, Franco Laurel, Bianca Valerio, Georgia Del Rosario, Hideo Muraoka, Joey Mead-King, Jessica Kienle, Angel Jacob, Maggie Wilson, Brent Javier, Joseph Marco, Beauty Queens Venus Raj, Pia Wurtzbach and Ariella Arida, Supermodel legends Marina Benipayo & Suyen Chi, and award winning actress Dawn Zulueta-Lagdameo.
It was a special night indeed and I congratulate Metro Society Magazine and LG Electronics for taking the time to do something very special for our countrymen!

Beauty is the now the face of technology!Good events must also have its cause..this is one..so creative that shows how beauty can be integrate in branding and csr..
Each one of us must learn and have this urge to help. That is what I’ve seen from LG. No matter how successful they are, they still give back and share what they have to those who are in need. This is an event for a cost. True beauty is inclined now with technology. The partnership of LG and Metro Society helps a lot of Yolanda victims in Eastern Visayas. This is a good CSR of LG.

This helped a lot of people who suffered from typhoon Yolanda. I admire them for extending their help to the needy. I heard they are still lending their hand to the community of Tacloban. Thanks to LG.
