‘Tugon sa Bohol’ features two events, Songs of Hope: A Free Benefit Concert and Kisame: Visions of Heaven and Earth.
Makati, the city with a heart, is serenaded by the multi-awarded Loboc Children’s Choir in Songs of Hope: A Free Benefit Concert on November 8, 6pm at the Tower One & Exchange Plaza Fountain Area, Ayala Triangle. Listen to children’s melodic voices and take part in this noble cause. Cash donations of any amount are welcome through donation boxes that will be stationed in the concert area.
A recording of what once was, Kisame: Visions of Heaven and Earth is an exhibit running from November 11-14 featuring photographs of ceiling paintings from colonial churches in the Province of Bohol. It is curated by Fr. Milan Ted D. Torralba and Kenneth C. Esguerra with photography by Atty. Paquito “Jojo” N. Ochoa Jr. It will be on display at the Greenbelt Fashion Walk, Ayala Center.
Kisame was first presented in 2008 at the Ayala Museum in partnership with the Filipino Heritage Festival Inc., and the Diocese of Tagbilaran, Bohol. Hardcover limited editions of the revised exhibition catalogue with new, never before seen photographs of churches from the Ochoa archives will be made available to make unique and meaningful holiday gift ideas this season.
All proceeds from the sale of the catalogues and photographs will be coursed through The Roman Catholic Bishop of Tagbilaran Inc. to assist in pre-restoration work of the heritage churches.
