The pressure doubles up for this week’s contestants since they are well-known as artists and are considered veterans in the field of music. To loosen up things a bit, the OPM icons will give a “sample sample,” which not many people know was originally coined in the first season of “The Singing Bee.”
Who among them will make it through the “Final Countdown”? Can he beat the original gwaping and defending champion Eric Fructuoso? Will Eric, who already took home P40,000, be able to defend his title?
On its pilot episode last November 16, the new “The Singing Bee” instantly ruled on its timeslot by garnering a national TV rating of 12.9% vs GMA’s “Startalk” that only recorded 5.3%, according to Kantar Media. Don’t miss “The Singing Bee” hosted by Roderick Paulate and Amy Perez this Saturday, after “It’s Showtime” on ABS-CBN.
