Four criteria will be taken into account in measuring a celebrity’s popularity – through online votes, Google Trends, Social Media following and the consensus of selected local entertainment bloggers.
For online voting, the netizens must visit www.lionheartv.net and cast their votes on a poll which enlist the names of the celebrities. For Google trends, Google Philippines will measure the daily number of searches of each personality. Meanwhile, Twitter and Instagram followers, and Facebook page ‘likes’ will be summed up. Also, selected entertain bloggers will deliberate, create their own 100 list and come up with a consensus.
Each criterion will share 25% of the total percentage. Whoever garners the biggest percentage will earn the title of the Most Popular Celebrity of 2013 and the rest will be ranked respectively. The poll and the whole process will run from January 25 to February 23, 2014.
Awarding ceremony will be on March 2014. Aside from the recognition, the awardees will be receiving the official 100 Most Popular Celebrity book courtesy of Lifebooks Publishing during the event.
