Korina Sanchez was last seen on “TV Patrol” while she’s in Ormoc City on November 14 (Thursday). The following day and on Sunday, news went viral that Sanchez was suspended by the management of ABS-CBN (see: Korina Sanchez – “How dare you, CNN?” on the screen) but no official statement issued yet regarding the issue.
Before that, on Wednesday, Anderson reported from Tacloban where there were many evacuees still waiting for relief goods after five days of being hit by the super typhoon. (see: Anderson Cooper reacts on Korina Sanchez radio comments) He described the situation, and even interviewed a woman who had to cover her dead husband and children with leaves and torn clothes while waiting for help that hasn’t reached that part yet.
According to reports, Korina will be on leave for two weeks and and Jasmin Romero replaced her on the show. Despite some reports that Korina took a two-week vacation, some netizens are saying that her absence is a punishment given by the network for her wrongful accusation of Anderson.
