Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) condition jumpstarts the plot and defines the sisters’ relationship between them. It also is the cause of jealousy and the motivation for the power struggle between them. Rhodora, after she was saved and gets reunited with her family, starts to manifest symptoms of DID.
Rhodora as Roxanne is a smart woman but also scheming and manipulative. She hates Angela (played by Yasmien Kurdi) so much to the point that she will do everything to get what Angela has the affection of their mother and Angela’s love, Joaquin.
Angela blames herself when Rhodora is kidnapped. But when Rhodora finally gets reunited with them, Angela is happier and content because her family is once again complete. She is about to be married to Joaquin.
However, everything changes after she is framed and incarcerated. She escapes when an opportunity allows her and ends up in an ancestral house. She finds out later that it is Rhodora who frames her, not knowing that Roxanne and Rhodora are one and the same peson. She vows revenge against Rhodora after she gets back into prison.
Mark Herras is Joaquin, Angela’s fiancé. He is shocked to know that Angela allegedly killed his secretary out of jealousy. Hence, their wedding is cancelled.
