The show started with Eduardo having clinched the P 600,000 question at the end of the October 13 episode. Eduardo was left with only two crucial questions and the difficult decision on whether or not he should continue playing with no lifelines left.
He was able to answer the P 1M question but host Vic Sotto gave him the encouraging but uncertain option to go on with the P 2M question. It was a risky proposition for the contestant as a wrong answer would just leave him with P 20,000, having chosen the High Risk Money Tree.
Eduardo, who works as an IT auditor, eventually took the risk and mulled over the final question “Ano ang pamagat ng poem ni Lewis Carroll na ginamitan ng nonsense words?” Just like the previous questions, he took the time to dissect and choose the correct answer. “I’m going with my gut feel on this,” he said. And, as it turned out, his “gut feel” made him P 2M richer and ranked him as TV5’s third Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? grand winner, next to Megastar Sharon Cuneta (who won in January 2010) and IT specialist Karl Aguilar (September 2011).
