Megan is a heavy favorite in the 2013 Miss World Philippines who bested 24 other aspirants and won eight special awards en route to her official coronation. The 23-year-old Filipino-American beauty represented Olongapo City in the competition and won Best in Fashion Runway, Miss Sports by FILA, Miss Reducin, Miss Olay, Miss Laguna, Miss Bold and Glamorous by Revlon, Miss Figlia and Miss Bench Body.
Four other finalists took runner-up honors: 1st Princess Janicel Lubina who also won Best in Swimwear and Miss Photogenic; 2nd Princess Zahra Sadua, who was also adjudged as Miss Friendship and won Miss Pantene; 3rd Princess Paula Bianca Paz, who was also selected as Best in Evening Gown and Miss Redux Fat; and 4th Princess Omarie Osuna. Other special awardees were Best in Talent Samantha Mae Bernardo and Miss Novu Hair Patricia Ejercitado.
Megan will represent the Philippines in the Miss World 2013 pageant to be held on September 28, 2013 at the Sentul International Convention Center in West Java, Indonesia. The Philippines has never won the Miss World crown.
