Line offers free text and voice messaging, voice calling and group chat with up to 100 people, as well as interactive features such as stickers and official accounts of celebrities. K-pop stars such as JYJ, 2NE1, G-dragon and 2PM have official accounts, while SuperJunior’s Siwon appeared in LINE commercials.
Launched in June 2011, LINE now has 180 million users in 230 countries. The Seoul-based LINE PLUS Corp. is a joint-venture entity between NHN Corporation and LINE Corporation (former NHN Japan Corporation).
