Police claim that the two suspects attempted to flee after the vehicle carrying them, along with six police escorts, was fired by three gunmen aboard motorcycles in San Pedro, Laguna. Cadavero and Panongalinga reportedly tried to grab the firearms of their escorts, prompting the authorities to shoot them.
The Commission on Human Rights, however, is not convinced with the claims of the police and believes the incident was a rubout. Did the police escorts intentionally kill the suspects and violated their human rights? What is the standard operating procedure of the Philippine National Police in transporting suspects? What should police officers do when a suspect tries to grab their firearms?
Meanwhile, in a Catholic country like Philippines, how will the reported declined number of priests affect the spiritual life of the Filipinos?
Ted will also find out if someone has already been penalized for violating the Animal Welfare Act, as well as examine how senators and representatives allocate their respective pork barrel.
