The program will feature the interests, concerns, and simple joys of the masang Pilipino. Every episode conveys stories of people who are in dire need of something that will make them happy, whether it be a simple want or a poignant need.
Doris, as the Mutya ng Masa, will immerse in a community every week and give deserving individuals or families what they want. As the bearer of good news, Doris will not only provide quick relief but also solutions with lasting effect.
For the program’s pilot episode, Doris will visit the busy streets of Sta. Mesa, Manila, including Tita Bebang’s famous ligawan and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
There she will meet Princess, a PUP student who finds it hard to get by with a P100 daily baon for her projects, roundtrip fare, and meals; and 16-year-old Jason, a trolley boy who works hard by pushing train carts all day to earn P300 for his family.
What’s the one thing that will make each of them and their families happy? How will Doris put smiles on their faces? Don’t miss the premiere of “Mutya ng Masa” with Doris Bigornia this Tuesday (July 16), 4:15 PM on ABS-CBN. For updates, follow @MutyaNgMasa on Twitter or visit www.facebook.com/ABSCBNNews.PH
