Jo In Sung, who was first seen by Filipinos in his sensational role as Paolo in “Memories of Bali,” returns on Philippine television after eight years as bad boy Xander and teams up with one of Korea’s most beautiful and certified Hallyu star of her generation, Song Hye Kyo as the blind heiress Yonna, in this heartwarming love story based from the Japanese drama “I Don’t Need Love.”
Follow the story of Xander, a playboy and gambler who lives a meaningless life after he was abandoned by his mother under a tree when he was a baby. He will be caught up in a messy deal with a gambling lord and in order to pay his debts, he will be left with no other choice but to pretend to be the long lost brother of a blind heiress Yonna who happened to have the exact name as him.
Xander will take advantage of Yonna’s blindness and will hide the truth that her biological brother is already dead. But it won’t be easy for Xander to carry out his devious plan as Yonna gives him a hard time to win her trust because she believes that Xander is only after the family’s fortune. Pre-sold in most Asian countries prior its airing, “That Winter The Wind Blows,” when originally broadcasted in Korea early this year, was the most talked about series by netizens all over Asia. It was cinematically directed by 2013 Baeksang Arts Awards Best Director Kim Kyu-tae and aired in Korea in the first quarter of 2013. The production team used state of the art high-definition cameras for the filming, and each frame underwent tedious post-production process to ensure the best quality of the drama. Just this year, the series was recognized with the Silver Award for Best Foreign TV Series in the 2013 Shanghai Television Festival.
