This year’s Tony’s will be held at the Radio City Music Hall and will be hosted by theater/movie actor, director and producer Neil Patrick Harris.
Dozens of other stage and screen stars are set to make an appearance, with the some of the spotlight’s favorites taking center stage. Big names will grace this year’s event, with presentations and performances from the likes of Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Jesse Eisenberg, Jon Cryer, Martha Pimpton, Jake Gyllenhaal, Sigourney Weaver, Anna Kendrick, Zachary Quinto, Sally Field, Audra McDonald, Cyndi Lauper, Alan Cumming, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Megan Hilty, Jane Krakowski, Matthew Morrison, Andrew Lloyd Webber and more.
Every Tony Awards show is sure to be loaded with live scenes straight out of Broadway’s best stage plays, from the most current theatrical releases to timeless favorites. Last year brought 15 performances from Broadway hits such as of Evita, Hairspray, Once, and Jesus Christ Superstar. And that doesn’t include Neil Patrick Harris’ memorable song numbers. Fans are eagerly anticipating possible performances from this year’s nominated musicals such as Annie, Matilda, Pippin and A Christmas Story.
Aside from the June 10 live telecast at 8:00 a.m., a primetime telecast will also air on Velvet on the same date at 8:00 p.m. Replays will be on June 15 at 6:00 p.m., June 16 at 12:00 p.m., June 21 at 1:00 p.m., and June 26 at 3:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
