The film stars Angel Aquino, Enrique Gil, Martin del Rosario, Ejay Falcon, Empress Schuck and Jane Oineza.
“Amorosa” goes into the life of a woman named Rosa (Angel Aquino), whose family is traumatized by a road accident. After the violent occurrence, she looks for a new beginning by moving into an old pension house with her two sons Rommel (Enrique Gil) and Amiel (Martin del Rosario). There, hope for a fresh start falls short as they slowly discover the haunting truth behind what the house is actually hiding.
Given the film’s psychological horror-drama angle, Angel deems this as one of her most challenging roles to date. She said, “When they gave this to me, I was always on my feet and my toes. I told myself, I can’t leave this one to nothing.”
“Amorosa” was directed by Topel Lee, an acclaimed director for film, television, and music videos alike. He is widely known for a signature style of cinematography and his themes of strong female lead characters. The man behind “Sundo” and “Ouija”, he has a knack for the horror genre.
