One of the forecasters tells “Failon Ngayon” that a number of his colleagues at PAGASA are resigning one by one due to low salary vis-a-vis the huge responsibility. Can people still expect accurate weather reports in spite of the forecasters’ exodus to foreign lands?
Meanwhile, according to recent news, the purchase of new trains for the MRT and LRT lines has been postponed until 2016.
Old trains of MRT and LRT lines are having frequent malfunctions that cause delay and inconvenience to millions of commuters. However, the commuters are still patronizing them because of the speed in transportation. MRT and LRT are also the best to ride when there are floods. But according to DOTC, fare hike on MRT and LRT will be implemented once new trains arrived. How will the commuters react on the fare hike?
