Valerie Concepcion grew up with GMA Network, from the defunct youth-oriented show “Click” to her last project, sinenovela “Sinasamba Kita,” before transfering to ABS-CBN in 2007.
After almost six years, Valerie Concepcion will be back on GMA Network via Kapuso’s newest drama offering “Anna Karenina” which stars Barbie Forteza, Joyce Ching and Krystal Reyes. She will be playing as kontrabida in this new series. Valerie joined Angel Locsin when she transferred to ABS-CBN six years ago because of their manager (at that time) Becky Aguila.
Valerie was last seen playing as Loraine Castro in “May Isang pangarap” and Dolores Bernabe in ABS-CBN’s “Dugong Buhay.”
Valerie will be joining other stars like Derrick Monasterio, Julian Trono, Jiro Peralta, Neil Ryan Sese, Ana Roces and Yasmien Kurdi. Directed by Gina Alajar, “Anna Karenina” will premiere on June3 after “24 Oras” on GMA Network.
What can you say about Valerie’s move now?

I think GMA still sees her the way she was before leaving the mangement. She doesn’t deserve just some extra roles, and her being a kontriba is one major break. And besides, way back when she’s still a kapuso, she ruled GMA’s afternoon prime. I hope she stays for good.
