There are two remakes to be offered by GMA Network for the third quarter of the year. One of them is the classic 90’s television series “Anna Karenina” which according to news will be topbilled by Barbie Forteza, Louise Delos Reyes, and Bea Binebe to play the new roles of Anna, Karen, and Nina respectively.
“Anna Karenina” is a weekly classic soap opera aired on GMA Network every Sunday from 1998 to 1999. It was led by the three top young stars before of the Kapuso Network namely Sunshine Dizon, Kim Delos Reyes, and Antonette Taus who played the characters of Karen, Nina, and Anna respectively. They were paired of course with Polo Ravales, Dino Guevarra, and Dingdong Dantes.
No confirmations yet about the line-up but what’s sure is “Anna Karenina” is on the list.

Nice line up of cast Louise, Barbie and Bea, thumbs up! GMA7 sana ma push through na yan weekly naman mas mabuti with Alden, Jake and Derrick as there loveteam in a way ibang theme naman ang story nyan. Looking forward for this revive show;)
Just to correct you, the show aired for 6 years from 1996 to 2002. Longest Sunday soap on Philippine TV, I guess.

The longest is Heredero and Mara Clara, almost decades sila… If I may Recall… 🙂
