This search aims to honor individuals who’ve made an impact at a young age.
Chalk is taping the eight schools that comprise the UAAP (University Athletic Association of the Philippines) to come up with a roster of this year’s best and brightest student achievers who will eventually be part of the Bright Young Manila Ambassadors.
Launched by Chalk in 2006, Bright Young Manila’s list of awardees include young men and women who’ve become big names in their chosen fields such as actress Denise Laurel, fashion designer Veejay Floresca, model Valerie Weignmann, artist Leeroy New, blogger Tricia Gosingtian and MYX VJ Chino Jui Pio.
Chalk readers are invited to nominate schoolmates who they think deserve the elite Bright Young Manila (BYM) badge of honor. To nominate, go to facebook.com/chalkmagazine, click on the Bright Young Manila tab and send in entry. Nomination is ongoing until May 30. Complete mechanics and guidelines are found in the BYM tab.
Watch out as Chalk goes on BYM campus caravan for on-site nominations/voting and on BYM campus talk events at selected UAAP schools soon. Tweet nominees or comment on Chalk’s Bright Young Manila campaign, make sure to put the hashtag #chalkBYM2013.
