Broadcast journalist Ted Failon follows up on the pending cases filed against bankrupted pre-need companies that destroyed the dreams of many Filipino families this Saturday (Apr 13) in the award-winning investigative program “Failon Ngayon.”
In 2005, more than 14 pre-need companies shut down including College Assurance Plan Philippines, Inc., Platinum Plans Philippines, Inc., and Pet Plans. This affected thousands of families who invested big amounts of money to secure their kids’ college education.
What happened to the pending cases filed against bankrupt pre-need companies? Can the families still retrieve the money they invested on educational plans?
