The 36 quarterfinalists are composed of 14 dance acts; seven singing acts; three musical acts; and 12 variety/novelty acts that include various stunts, outdoor acts, magic acts, and a whole lot more.
Aside from welcoming a variety of new acts this season, PGT 4 also proved to be the biggest PGT edition yet as the show conducted worldwide and online auditions. Among those who auditioned abroad via TFCkat, two of them made it through namely Russel Figueroa of Canada and Cris Bernardo of Dubai.

First to battle it out for the judges’ and viewers’ votes this Saturday (April 6) in the first quarterfinals match are The Security and Escort Battalion Combo of the Philippine Army; light dancer All In One Crew; arnis stunt act Segutier Triplets; gay singers The Miss Tres; magician Marvin Aqrquero; and flairtender Chaeremon Basa. Who will make it as the first set of semi-finalists?
The competition is definitely tougher now as PGT enters the quarterfinals. Judge Ai Ai Delas Alas was first to express how high her expectations are on all 36 quarterfinalists. In a VTR, she quipped “Lahat sila ineexpect naming maglevel up.”
Meanwhile, since voting season is about to begin for PGT, judges Kris Aquino and Freddie “FMG” Garcia appealed to the viewers to vote for the acts that deserve to make it through the next round of the competition.
“Kung favorite niyo at gusto niyo talaga manalo, gastusan sana ninyo,” Kris said.
“Sa inyong boboto, sana piliin niyo talaga kung sino may talent,” added FMG.
